Linux Kernel 5.2—I've Seen Enough

Reviews: Linux, Kernel

Bridge adapters that don't come up during boot under systemd...

KVM machines running Windows guests that I can no longer reach over the network via RDP...

System hangs during shutdown preventing the system from ever actually turning off...

Nvidia drivers causing kernal panics during boot...

It's been a long time since I've had these kinds of issues with a Linux kernel update. In fact, it's been so long that I'm usually chomping at the bit for a new kernel version, but alas, 5.2 and 5.2.1 have curbed my enthusiasm a bit. The latest Linux kernel offerings act weird... just, weird. It seems to center mostly around networking. I gave it a go as long as I could, but it's back to 5.1.16 for me for the time being.
